This is a statement by a Virgin Atlantic spokesperson based in the US in regard to those who have had their flights canceled. It doesn’t answer all questions, but it does answer some. 4.20.10

Virgin Atlantic is working to ensure that all passengers can be rebooked onto the next available flight. Virgin Atlantic, in line with EC regulations, will continue to pay for hotel accommodation and meals for passengers who are stranded away from home.
Passengers whose flights have been cancelled can still opt to have a refund. It is Virgin Atlantic's aim to carry passengers to their destination at the earliest opportunity once flights resume. As it may take many days before all passengers are accommodated the option of a refund is available for at least 10-14 days.
Virgin Atlantic is currently working on how passengers will be prioritized when flights do resume but our priority will be to assist passengers with special needs and medical issues as well as unaccompanied minors first and then to get as many passengers back to their country of residence as quickly as possible.

One of the best, most lucid and well written American history books I have ever read. This is not merely history, it is the story of much of the creation of the American nation as it entered into a long, horrid conflict with the native peoples. Reading this, you will come to understand the battles between Indians and whites with more clarity than ever before. Personalities come alive and vivid writing carries you through. Out in quality paperback now.
