The LA TIMES has posted a series of large, high res photos from Haiti. If you think it is too much to take, you are right. These are scenes of human suffering and complete despair to compete with anything seen in war time. Truly awful.

NOTE: When you see reports of looting in Haiti, bear in mind that this could be the only way some people have to get food or materials for assistance in  shelter. Looting is taking things because you want to steal. Taking something when there is no other means to survive is not normally classified as looting. The police in Haiti, which have been generally “unable” to help with the rescues, have suddenly come out to stop looting.
