As it did during the early days of the Haiti disaster, the LA Times is publishing high resolution photos of the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Chile. This is one of the best ways to see and understand what is happening there. The images on television news go by and are gone so quickly that it is difficult to get more than an emotional impression. These large, still pictures show the world up close and really take you to the scene. As you look at these images, keep in mind that most of the damage shown is from the tsunami. As we have been saying on the TerryReport for several days, that is where most of the deaths and damage has come from in Chile.
