The truth is something we shall seldom know, but never stop seeking.

Editor and prime reporter is Doug Terry, a veteran television and radio reporter in   Washington, DC, (details below)

This is a larger version, with less cropping, of the photo on the TerryReport home page. It was taken summer of 2011 north of Damascus, Maryland. I had gone for a bike ride in the area with thunderstorms threatening all around and actually got caught in one quick downpour (a nearby horse barn saved me from getting soaked and the property owners never even knew I had been there).  On returning to my car, another storm was blowing through. I always try to have at least one camera with me at all times. I had my partially non-functional D-SLR in the car and went back down a hill to take pictures, then got in the car to leave. Looking over my shoulder, I was stunned to see what I was about to miss. This is one of the photos I took after getting back out of the car and doing what I should have done: pay attention and never leave too soon. I took one of the most surprising photos I have ever taken during this time, a shot with a rainbow on one side of the picture and a lightning strike on the other. I am not posting that shot here to avoid it being stolen.

What in the world is this? Now, after being told a thousand times that al Queda and the war on terrorism is the struggle of our century, it looks like the organization is 3/4s or more dead and the rest is dying. DETAILS HERE.

One of the best, most lucid and well written American history books I have ever read. This is not merely history, it is the story of much of the creation of the American nation as it entered into a long, horrid conflict with the native peoples. Reading this, you will come to understand the battles between Indians and whites with more clarity than ever before. Personalities come alive and vivid writing carries you through. Out in quality paperback now.
